March 6th National Frozen Food Day

National Frozen Food Day – March 6th

We have celebrated this day since 1984. Actually, if you think about it, we have celebrated this day since Clarence Frank Birdseye II came up with the idea of frozen food in 1927. He built the General Food Corporation in 1930 to begin full consumer production in 1930.  In 1954 TV Dinners appeared on the scene and since then, the industry has grown, and thankfully, gotten better! There is nothing like fresh food but it is not always available, the next best thing is frozen.

How to celebrate – List all the frozen food you buy regularly. Enjoy a TV Dinner. List all the foods you would not regularly be able to have without the freezing process.
