May 1st Purebred Dog Day

May 1st Purebred Dog Day

Today we celebrate those dogs among us that come from only pure breeding. Dogs such as the Bulldog, the Rottweiler, the Beagle and the Golden Retriever are some of the most common purebred dogs on the market. The idea of pure breeding is to have a known look and personality to the dogs that we raise. Most of the time this works out well, though on occasion it backfires on the personality trait. Suzi Szeremy created today in 2013 to celebrate those dogs among us that are not mutts. Pure bred or not, love your dog and they will love you in return.

How to celebrate – Find out if your dog is a purebred or not. Go to a dog show. Learn about all the different types of breeds.
