July 4th Alice In Wonderland Day

July 4th Alice In Wonderland Day

While most of the United States are celebrating their Independence perhaps you can do something a little different, how about celebrating Alice In Wonderland Day! Lewis Carroll wrote Alice In Wonderland after spending the day with 10-year-old Alice Liddell and her sisters, a co-worker’s children, on a boat in the UK.  Finishing the first book, “Alice In Wonderland” in 1864, he continued to add volumes such as “Through The Looking Glass” and “What Alice Found There” and characters such as the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat. Wow, that must have been some boat ride!

How to celebrate – Celebrate an Alice In Wonderland Day Tea Party instead of a 4th of July BBQ! Dress up like the Mad Hatter. Read the whole Lewis Carroll series.
