May 21st National Ride A Bike To Work Day

Every third Friday in May is National Ride a Bike to Work Day. The holiday is sort of new but has it roots back to 1956 when the League of American Bicyclists named May as National Bike Month. Bet you didn’t even know there was a League of American Bicyclists!?! I didn’t, they started out as the League of American Wheelmen which began back in 1880. Either way, the idea is to get more exercise and one of the best ways to do that is to ride a bike. While riding to work may not be all that practical all the time, maybe you can fit in this one day.

How to celebrate – Go for a bike ride. Get a custom made bike for yourself. Get some exercise!
