Not to be confused with Ronald Reagan’s National Ice Cream Day which is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of July, today is simply, Ice Cream Day. Apparently no one claims it but still, ice ice cream, who can refuse!?! Ice Cream has been around for a long, long time. Recipes for ice cream date back to Christopher Columbus more than 250 years ago. So if you don;t like Columbus for all the any other reason you’ve at least got to give him some props for ice cream! The Ice Cream cone came along at the St. Louis World’s Fair in 1904 invented by Charles E. Minches. Ice Cream began being sold commercially in Boston in 1851.
How to celebrate – Have some ice cream. Invent a new flavor of ice cream. Make your own home made ice cream (It’s really good that way.)
