April 17th Crawfish Day

April 17th Crawfish Day

If you live in the deep south you have heard of crawfish day, normally celebrate with a crawfish boil served with corn potatoes and sausage. Crawfish are basically a cousin to the lobster and have a similar taste, although generally served with a hotter sauce of some kind to liven them up. Crawfish are also called Ditchbugs, Crayfish as well as Crawdad. The day was created by Shell Shack in 2020 we assume because they serve Crawfish as a favorite dish. You can’t hardly visit New Orleans without sampling Crawfish at least once!

How to celebrate – Have a crawfish boil. Visit New Orleans. Go to Shell Shack!
