It’s funny how much most of us fear snakes. Some are justified since they are dangerous, most aren’t, and they are probably just as afraid of us as we are of them. There are some 3,400 species of snakes, some that can grow up to 30 feet long, others that can weigh as much as 550 pounds. Did you know that having one of the most common snakes, the black snake, in your yard helps keep rodents and insects down but they also tend to keep the more dangerous snakes out of your yard.
