July 30th Paperback Book Day

When it became fashionable to teach people to read it didn’t mean that they had anything to read. The problem was that the cost of books was so high the average person couldn’t afford. The Penguin Publishing Company finally came out with a successful paperback book making books cheaper for the people and reading became something popular and educational, in 1835! Today has been celebrated since 2012, probably created by a publishing company as well.

How to celebrate – Find a paperback book to read. Hard cover books come out first, wait for the cheaper paperback to come out. Check out the price difference in a hard cover and a paper cover.
