Today we celebrate “It’s My Party Day” which is believed to be a celebration of her hit song “It’s My Party” (and I’ll cry if I want to) in 1963, She was only 16 years old at the time. The only confusing aspect of it being in October is that her hit came in May. So it may have nothing to do with Leslie Gore or her song but if not… then what?
