“Pumpkin Destruction Day” falls on the first Saturday after Halloween. It was the brainchild of Adam Pugh, the General Manager of the Rock Ranch foster care home for kids in Georgia, a 1500-acre ranch owned by Chick-Fill-A. The idea is to get rid of all those pumpkins carved up for Halloween. It gets rid of those pumpkins in a fun way instead of dumping them in landfills or letting them rot.
How to celebrate – Find fun ways to get rid of those left over pumpkins. Throw a pumpkin destruction party. Make a lot of pumpkin pies.
