A lame duck isn’t really about a duck with a bad leg. Although I suppose it could be. The general idea is about a political figure who is in the waning days, or weeks, of their years of elected office when no one has to pay any attention to them or what what they might do to other political figures careers. Today, however, it seems to pretty much pertain to any figure being elected to political office. And with recent election, we might have done better if we had actually elected a real duck!
How to celebrate – Pretend like elections really matter. Spend the day at the park with ducks, you will get more done. Run for office so you too can be a lame duck!
