February 19th National Arabian Horse Day

Arabian horses were first domesticated in North Africa and used as war horses for the Islamic Warriors. When the Warriors went on their own holy crusades, before the Roman Catholic Crusades, they took these horses with them into Europe, notably Spain where they became a part of the culture there. Over the years, very admired by the Americans, the horses were brought and bred in America which now has over half of the world’s population of Arabian horses. In fact today was created by the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona back in 2021.
