Today we celebrate Hans Christian Anderson’s birthday back in 1805. To do so, we celebrate the idea of the children’s books written to help entertain and educate children. These books use to be, a long time ago, one of the few ways children could explore the world and learn how to expand their imaginations. They should be used for the same thing today but are more often ignored. It’s a shame in many ways as reading them was just as much an art as writing them. Well, I offer “Why The Evergreen’s Stay Green” as an example of a children’s story, or a family story everyone can enjoy. Give it a look and see if it takes you away from the everyday and into a new place to explore.
How to celebrate – Read book top your children. Write a book for your children. Examine new worlds.
