This should be every day of the year, we all want to see our dreams come true. The funny thing is, if you make one dream come true we almost always find another dream to go after. Which I guess is good, we need to try to do something to better ourselves even when we get older. It’s all about having hope, which we must maintain as people because with out hope, we have little left.
How to celebrate – Clarify your dream so you can start making it come true. Help others make their dreams come true. Make sure you want your dream to come true.
We all have dreams, things we want to accomplish for ourselves, our families and our friends. Some of us are lucky enough to reach them, some of us never do… they say the trying is the most rewarding part of reaching your dreams but I think that is meant for those of us that never reach them. The thing about dreams is you can dream up anything. So what do you do if you actually accomplish your dream? Well you dream up something else. I think maybe the most important thing about today is, don’t step on someone else’s dream.
How to celebrate – Dream. Figure out the steps required to make your dreams come true. Help someone else reach their dream.
Wow, have we been waiting for today for a while or not! Finally, the end of 2020 and the hope of 2021. Well let’s all hope things are going to be better for everyone this year. Don’t think it couldn’t be worse because it could be, though not by much. Just approach it as though you are glad 2020 is over. You should always look forward to the future anyway because you can still change the outcome, there is nothing you can do about the past. So welcome the New Year, look for the best in what is coming and forget the past, it’s time to move on.
How to celebrate – Welcome in 2021. Make a list of the positive things in your life. Make a list of the bad things that happened in 2020 and then burn the list.
We celebrate, and challenge, you to adopt someone new into your family. It is an important day to think about and maybe even act on. There are thousands of children that have no home to go to. Can you imagine having no place to go or to have no one care about what you do? It’s bad enough for adults but for children it’s even worse. Today always falls on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, maybe in the hopes that you will set a new place at your Thanksgiving table for someone who has no place to go. Since it’s followed by Christmas, why not let them stay over? You might just find out that the biggest reward is not in what you offer, but what you receive.
How to celebrate – Consider adoption. Make someone’s life better. Look for the good in people.
You ready to surrender? That’s what a white flag means, or that you want to talk, or that you just finished your laundry. The general idea of today is to find out if any of your ideas have a chance of working.
If you think about it, flags are used to champion an idea and if someone salutes it, beside yourself, then it means they believe basically the same as you. In history a flag has always meant something. To carry the flag in battle was considered a place of honor. (Also the best chance of getting shot since flags are generally not camouflaged.)
Of course there will be those who chose not to follow the flag you have raised and that’s okay. There are a lot of reasons someone may not support your idea. Maybe it’s a bad idea, maybe it’s a dangerous idea or maybe they are still drunk from New Years Eve, after-all it was just two days ago.
Flags are important to people. They give us something to believe in even when we believe in nothing. We identify with flags symbolizing our country, our state, our community and our beliefs. So put your belief up on the flag pole and see if anyone salutes it. If they do, you know you are not alone, if thy don’t… then maybe you need to rethink what you are doing.
How to celebrate – Design your own flag. Let others know what you are thinking. Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb, you might be surprised who you find out there with you.
