Get out and enjoy the great outdoors today by taking a ride and viewing the world around you. It doesn’t matter whether you ride in a car or a truck, on a train of a bike, even roller blades will do. (Airplanes kinda count) The idea is to take a ride without any real place to have to get to and maybe take a few people along with you to talk about what you see. Naturally your best friend would enjoy the ride as well so you might consider taking them along with you.
How to celebrate – Take a ride! Take others along on your ride. Enjoy nature and the world around you.
Yes, I know it’s Valentine’s Day, but anyone can suggest you celebrate the day for lovers. I am suggesting you try celebrating Ferris Wheel Day. That’s not something everyone does and you can even take your Valentine along for a ride if you want! George Washington Gale Ferris created the world’s first Ferris Wheel (Perhaps why it is named for him) for the 1893 World’s Colombian Exhibition. I’m pretty sure the world’s first vomit bag was created shortly there after. However, there are many people who love the Ferris Wheel, soaring above the crowds, an opportunity to look down on others and a great way to be alone (sort of) with your Valentine!
How to celebrate – Find a Ferris Wheel near you. Visit a local county fair! Design your own Ferris Wheel.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a bike, in a car, on a horse, or even in or on a grocery cart today you need to go for a ride just for the fun of it. We all use our vehicles to get where we want to go but try taking a ride just to take a ride. I think of my dog who loves to go for car rides… I think she wonders why we don’t get out more often and check things out but shes gotten use to it so now it’s just a ride and she loves it! It’s funny how much more you see when you are just going for a ride. Things you miss when you are trying so hard to get somewhere.
How to celebrate – Go for a ride. Take your dog for a ride. (I do not suggest doing the same for your cat) Get some exercise so use a bike to ride.
Looking for a way to break the tension in your life? Well try going for a ride! Maybe you should pick some back country roads of a nice lane in a forest… highways tend to make your stress a little higher. When my son was a baby, twenty some years ago, we use to drive him around to help him fall asleep. It normally worked. Now we drive my dog around! It doesn’t put her to sleep but it seems to make her happy! I know a lot of great artists like to drive around to get ideas, scientist to clear their heads and teenagers for, well… something altogether different. And if you own a Tesla, you don’t even have to drive!
How to celebrate – Go for a ride. Buy a new car! Get an RV so you have more room!
