August 6th Campfire Day

I don’t believe there is anything as relaxing as sitting around a campfire. It just seems to melt the day and your worries away, unless you are concerned about starting a forest fire of course. You don’t even have to have a conversation with those sharing the fire with you for the most part. But if you do, its a great time to cook hotdogs, roast marshmallows or make smores. They say it is best to start your fire before dark so that it at it’s peak when it actually does get dark, which is why Bob Matthews of Holiday Insights. com set this day in August because the sun begins to set a little earlier. He created today in 2017 but I think most of us have been celebrating it long before that.

How to celebrate – Start a campfire. (Make sure to follow all safety precautions) Invite friends to come you your campfire. Go camping.
