Today was created by the UN in 1972 to alert the world for the need to take care of the environment across the face of the earth. Every year another environmental issue is explained and highlighted to bring awareness of environmental concerns that effect the whole world, not just a localized area. This year the theme is, “Only One Earth” We should do all we can to prevent further damage to the world we live in.
How to celebrate – Do your part of cleaning up your part of the world. Don’t profit from cleaning up something we should be cleaning up anyway. Visit the UN.
