March 6th National Oreo Cookie Day

Did you ever think we would have a national holiday celebrating a cookie? Well, we don’t really so don;t worry about it. But if we did, today would be the day. Today, back in 1912 Sam. J. Porcello invented the Oreo cookie for the National Biscuit Company, later called Nabisco. They sold for 25 cents per pound and rapidly became one of the best selling cookies in America (Maybe even the world) The day was created in 2016, obviously on March 6th since it was the day the cookie was invented on and naturally, will always be celebrated with a glass of milk.

How to celebrate – Get some Oreos! Get a glass of milk! Write thank you letters to Same J. Porcello. (Though I doubt he’ll get them)
